We are very happy to announce that Vital Remains and Benediction confirmed their appearances at Metalmania Festival 2007. Vital Remains will perform on the main stage while Benediction opens the small stage's line-up. The 21st edition of the biggest metal fest in Central-Eastern Europe - will take place on 24th March 2007 in Spodek Hall in Katowice, Poland.

American death metal band Vital Remains is the final act confirmed for the main stage of the festival. Very few extreme metal bands are able to reinvent their musical styles, yet Vital Remains are one of the few to stand the test of time. They've recently recorded the follow-up to their famous 2003 record "Dechristianize". New album entitled "Hammer Down The Nails" will be released just week after their appearance at Metalmania Festival. As Tony Lazaro said in the official statement: "We've just returned home from Mana Recordings in Florida where we spent the whole month of December/Jan working on the new album. Yes, its done and what can we say other than holy shit! We cannot wait for the fans to hear this new album!! (...) To those few who thought we couldn't top Dechristianize, you're in for a real surprise because we did! (...) The overall sound of the new album is just HUGE! We are very proud of the results of all this hard work and we think our fans will soon agree as well."

Benediction - death metal band from UK - was originally formed in February 1989 in the line-up of Paul Adams (bass), Peter Rew (guitars), Darren Brookes (guitars) and Mark "Barney" Greenway. Their first album, "Subconscious Terror" saw its' release in 1990, followed by the departure of Barney, joining Napalm Death. The crashing debut was received well and a new vocalist, Dave Ingram was found soon. During the years Benediction formed a close relationship with Death, touring extensively with them at Chuck Shuldiners request. The sadly missed Death legend was just one of many musicians who have infinite respect for Benedictions 'no-shit' approach and dedication to their genre. Benediction released 6 full length albums so far. New record is scheduled for release in 2007 ! Current line-up: Dave Hunt (vocals), Darren Brookes (guitars), Peter Rew (guitars), Frank Healy (bass) & Nick Barker (drums).
